12 Step Call
A 12-step call is an important part of the recovery process for many. It is said that nothing is more effective than one alcoholic talking to another. A 12-step call does not always mean that you must go on a call to pick someone up… many times the call can be handled from your telephone, because the caller might want only information at the time. Keep in mind that the main objective is to get the person to a place where they can get help. This is usually an A.A. meeting in their area or pointing them in the direction of where they may obtain further information for treatment.

Corrections Committee
The purpose of the Corrections committee is to coordinate the work of individual A.A. members and groups who are interested in carrying our message of recovery to alcoholics behind the walls, and to set up means of smoothing the way from the facility to the larger A.A. community through prerelease contacts.

Hotline Committee
The purpose of the Telephone Hotline Committee is to ensure that an alcoholic who has found a solution to the problem of alcoholism will be there whenever any one of the 6.4 million people in the 18-county Metro Atlanta area calls A.A. for help after hours.

Membership Committee
The purpose of the Membership Committee is to attract new groups to become active participants in Intergroup.

Newsletter Committee
The purpose of the Newsletter Committee is to produce and distribute the Atlanta A.A. Intergroup newsletter, which contains articles related to A.A.’s 12 Traditions and A.A. group announcements.

Public Information/Cooperation with the Professional Community Committee (P.I./C.P.C.)
The purpose of the PI/CPC Committee is to convey A.A. information to the general public, including the media, and to inform professionals and future professionals about A.A.— what we are, where we are, what we can do, and what we cannot do. They attempt to establish better communication between A.A.s and professionals, and to find simple, effective ways of cooperating without affiliating.

Office Volunteers
Looking for ways to be of service in AA? There are office volunteer shifts available throughout the week from 9AM to 4PM. Answer phones, help customers, pack orders, be generally helpful. Complete the contact form or call us.

Treatment Committee
The purpose of the Treatment Committee is to coordinate the work of individual A.A. members and groups who are interested in carrying our message of recovery to alcoholics in treatment facilities.

Website Committee
The purpose of the Website committee is to establish and maintain the Metro Atlanta A.A. Central Office website.
