The purpose of the Newsletter Committee is to produce and distribute the Metro Atlanta A.A. Intergroup newsletter, Voice 2, which contains articles related to The Twelve Traditions of Alcoholics Anonymous, information about Intergroup and the Atlanta Central Office, events in the area we serve, and approved A.A. group announcements.

History of The Voice2 Newsletter

This June Alcoholics Anonymous will celebrate 70 years in the Metro Atlanta Area. To add to that historic event, our Central Office Voice 2 Newsletter will soon celebrate 44 years since it’s inception September 1967. The trial copy of the was distributed without much news, in September 1967. It was distributed by bulk mail. Eventually the individual responsible for taking the newsletter to the Post Office was no longer available for that service. Publication of the ceased for a number of years. Upon continuation of the publication, The Voice was renamed Voice 2 because another city had chosen the title “The Voice” for their newsletter. Now, we get to be a part of another historic transition. The looks to the future, with a new look, a new means of distribution, and a new helping hand, Charlotte A., of the Grant Park and Prime Time groups.
